NCT ID NCT06927700
First seen Mar 12, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study surveyed over 1,200 US adults who smoke cigarettes to see how they respond to FDA-approved ads claiming smokeless tobacco products like snus are less harmful than cigarettes. Participants viewed different ads and reported their beliefs about health risks and their interest in trying the products. The goal was to understand whether these claims change perceptions and intentions, not to test a treatment or cure.
