First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study checks if Samsung smartwatches can accurately measure blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen levels, anxiety, and sleep quality in 60 adults scheduled for disc herniation surgery. Participants wear the watch before surgery, and its readings are compared to standard medical devices. The goal is to see if smartwatches could be a convenient, non-invasive tool for preoperative monitoring.
