First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested whether a smartphone-based counseling program works as well as face-to-face sessions for adults with chronic tinnitus (ringing in the ears). 42 participants received either app-based or in-person counseling over six weeks. Researchers measured changes in tinnitus impact, mood, and sleep quality to see if the app could be a convenient alternative.
