First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested whether anti-reflective and circularly polarized films on smartphone screens can reduce dry eyes and eye strain caused by short, close-up phone use. 120 adults with mild nearsightedness used phones for 45 minutes in light or dark rooms. Researchers measured tear film stability and eye muscle activity before and after tasks to see if the films helped.
