First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested a smart shoe insole that tracks movement and encourages walking in frail older adults living at home. About 70 people aged 65 and older took part to see if they would accept and use the device in daily life. The goal was to learn how well the insole works for monitoring frailty and motivating activity, not to treat or cure any condition.
