Brain implant learns your sleep cycle to fight tremors
NCT ID NCT06635811
Summary
This study is testing a new 'smart' version of deep brain stimulation for people with essential tremor. The device automatically turns off stimulation when it detects you're asleep, aiming to reduce side effects, improve tremor control, and save battery life. Researchers will enroll 25 people who already have a brain stimulator to see if this automatic approach is safe and works better than constant stimulation.
