Smart bandage tracks wound healing with electrical signals
NCT ID NCT05805137
Summary
This study is testing a new 'smart' bandage system to monitor how well venous leg ulcers are healing. The bandage has built-in electrodes that measure electrical signals from the wound tissue, and the data is sent to a phone app. About 20 adults with venous ulcers will use the bandage for up to two months while receiving standard compression therapy, visiting a clinic 2-3 times per week for check-ups. The goal is to see if the bandage's readings accurately match traditional wound measurements.
