First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tested whether anti-vaping social media messages designed specifically for sexual and gender minority (SGM) teens could prevent them from starting to vape. Over 1,100 SGM youth ages 13-20 who had not vaped recently took part. Researchers compared tailored messages to generic ones to see which reduced curiosity and intention to vape.
