First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 43 times

Summary

This study tested whether anti-vaping messages designed specifically for sexual and gender minority (SGM) teens could prevent them from starting to vape. Over 1,100 SGM youth aged 13-20 who had never vaped received either tailored or generic messages on social media. Researchers measured how curious or willing teens were to try vaping after seeing the messages.
