New weekend training program aims to boost movement in kids with SMA

NCT ID NCT07223320

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether a special weekend therapy program can help children with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) move better in daily life. Five children who are already taking standard SMA medications will attend one 6-hour therapy session each weekend for 15 weeks. Researchers want to see if this intensive training is practical for families and if it helps improve skills like walking, hand use, and strength.
