New weekend training program aims to boost movement in kids with SMA

NCT ID NCT07223320

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether a special weekend therapy program can help children with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) move better. Five children receiving standard SMA medications will attend one 6-hour session each weekend for 15 weeks, practicing coordinated movements and strength exercises. The goal is to see if this intensive training is practical for families and if it helps improve motor skills and daily activities.
