Can nighttime sounds boost fading memories?
NCT ID NCT07402590
Summary
This study tested whether playing gentle sounds during sleep could help improve long-term memory in people with amnestic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI), a condition that often involves memory loss. Thirty-seven participants used a special device for two nights to receive either real or fake sound stimulation while they slept. Researchers measured changes in memory tasks and sleep quality to see if the sounds made a difference.
