This study looked at how changing sleep times each day affects the body's internal clock, learning, mood, and performance. Twenty-seven healthy adults stayed in a lab for 27 days and were assigned to either a regular or an irregular sleep schedule. Researchers measured changes in melatonin (a sleep hormone), learning ability, and mood throughout the study.
