Sleep your way slimmer? new study tests sleep coaching for overweight teens

Summary

This study tests whether adding sleep coaching to standard weight-loss treatment helps teens with overweight or obesity lose more weight. About 126 teens aged 13-17 with poor sleep will be split into two groups: one gets standard care, the other gets standard care plus sleep advice from a psychologist. The goal is to see if better sleep leads to less body fat and healthier weight over 6 months.
