Sleep pill trial aims to ease addiction recovery

Summary
This study is testing whether a prescription sleep medication called suvorexant can help people in the early stages of recovery from cocaine or methamphetamine addiction. Researchers want to see if improving sleep can also reduce stress and drug cravings, and help people stay longer in their residential treatment program. The study involves 20 participants who will either receive the sleep medication alongside standard treatment or standard treatment alone.
