Summary

This study tested whether a prescription sleep medication called suvorexant could help people quit smoking by reducing cravings, withdrawal symptoms, and stress. Fourteen daily smokers participated, taking either the drug or a placebo. Researchers measured their urge to smoke, stress levels, and sleep quality to see if the medication made quitting easier.
