New hope for cancer patients: combating sleepless nights with light and therapy

Summary

This study tests whether adding bright light therapy, a stimulant (methylphenidate), or melatonin to cognitive behavior therapy can improve sleep and related symptoms like fatigue, anxiety, and depression in 188 adults with advanced cancer. Participants will receive one of these combinations or a placebo. The goal is to find better ways to ease sleep problems and improve quality of life.
