Mayo clinic investigates hidden sleep disorder risks in somali community

Summary
This study aims to understand how common obstructive sleep apnea is among Somali-Americans and how it might affect their heart health. Researchers will compare 600 adults of Somali, African, Asian, and European descent, some with and some without sleep apnea. The goal is to identify unique risk factors to improve future care for this community.
