First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looks at whether taking atorvastatin (a statin) for 4 weeks can lower inflammation and blood clotting risks in adults with obstructive sleep apnea who are already using CPAP therapy. Researchers will measure specific markers in the blood and cells. About 110 newly diagnosed adults will participate, and half will receive the drug while the other half gets a placebo.
