Scientists search for blood test to track sleep apnea treatment
NCT ID NCT04572269
Summary
This study aimed to find chemical patterns in the blood that could help identify obstructive sleep apnea and track how well CPAP treatment is working. Researchers followed 388 adults with newly diagnosed sleep apnea for six months, collecting blood samples and monitoring their CPAP use. The goal was to see if specific blood markers change with treatment and could serve as an objective measure of treatment adherence and effectiveness.
