New gel tested to heal painful radiation burns faster

NCT ID NCT05190770

Summary

This study tested whether a gel called Oleogel-S10, when used with a standard steroid cream, could help heal skin burns caused by radiation therapy in breast cancer patients. The goal was to see if the combination treatment could reduce the size of these painful wounds more effectively. The trial involved 18 patients who developed moderate to severe skin reactions during their radiation treatment.
