First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This early-phase study tested whether cooling the skin before and during laser or injection treatments for neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) skin bumps can reduce pain. Thirteen adults with NF1 each received treatment on one cooled site and one non-cooled site. The main goal was to see if cooling made the procedures more tolerable and safe.
