First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This early-phase study tested whether cooling the skin before treatment can help people with Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1) tolerate painful procedures for skin bumps. Thirteen adults received four different treatments (lasers, injections) on both cooled and non-cooled skin spots. The main goal was to see if cooling made the treatments safer and less painful.
