First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tested whether using creams with niacinamide and shea butter can prevent or lessen skin itching in cancer patients receiving immunotherapy. About 130 adults with solid tumors starting checkpoint inhibitor treatment were randomly assigned to use either the test cream or a control cream for 6 months. The goal was to see if the special cream reduces itching and improves skin-related quality of life.
