Ancient sand baths tested against modern therapy for arthritis relief
NCT ID NCT07287696
Summary
This study tested whether a traditional therapy involving burial in hot desert sand could help people with rheumatoid arthritis breathe better, move more easily, and feel less pain. Researchers compared this five-day sand therapy to a two-month program of standard physical therapy exercises and treatments. The goal was to see if one approach worked better than the other for improving these symptoms.
