First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether adding the anti-inflammatory drug sivelestat sodium to standard clot-removal surgery improves recovery in people with acute ischemic stroke. About 868 adults aged 18-80 with a large-vessel blockage in the front of the brain will receive either the drug or a placebo within 24 hours of symptoms. The goal is to see if the drug reduces brain swelling and helps more people regain independence.
