NCT ID NCT04730661
First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a simple sit-to-stand test could help emergency doctors decide which COVID-19 patients need to be hospitalized. The test measures how many times a person can stand up from a chair in 30 seconds. The goal was to see if adding this test to usual checks could reduce the number of patients who later needed hospital care within 48 hours. The study was stopped early and included 54 adults with confirmed COVID-19.
