Summary
This study tested a special exercise program to help people who survived a stay in the intensive care unit (ICU) learn to stand up from a chair on their own. The program involved 246 adults who could not stand independently after leaving the ICU. The goal was to improve their ability to stand, walk, and perform daily activities, reducing the risk of being bed-bound.
