Scientists peek inside ovarian cells to crack IVF failure mystery

NCT ID NCT06617988

First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looked at 80 women undergoing IVF to understand why some have a poor ovarian response. Researchers examined discarded ovarian cells and fluid for differences in a protein called SIRT3 and other substances. The goal was to find biological clues that could explain different types of poor response and their link to IVF success. No treatments were tested; this was purely an observation study.
