New study aims to predict and prevent type 1 diabetes before symptoms appear

Summary
This study follows 300 children and adults who have tested positive for islet autoantibodies, early markers of type 1 diabetes, for up to 10 years. Researchers will track how these markers change over time and whether screening can reduce severe complications at diagnosis. The goal is to better predict who will develop diabetes and when, helping doctors plan earlier care and prevention strategies.
