New sinus surgery technique aims to reduce nasal polyp return
NCT ID NCT07245329
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a procedure to remove lymphoid tissue in the back of the nose during standard sinus surgery works better than standard surgery alone for people with chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps. Thirty-two adult participants will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two surgical approaches. Researchers will track inflammation levels, symptoms, and whether polyps return over six months to see which method provides better long-term control.
