C-Section stitch showdown: does Double-Layer repair prevent future problems?

NCT ID NCT07323355

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at whether closing the uterus with one or two layers of stitches after a C-section leads to better scar healing. About 102 women having a C-section will be randomly assigned to one method or the other. Six months later, doctors will measure the scar thickness with ultrasound and check for symptoms like spotting or pain. The goal is to find out which technique reduces future complications.
