C-Section scar study: which stitch method heals better?

NCT ID NCT07323355

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at two different ways doctors close the uterus after a C-section: using one layer of stitches or two layers. The goal is to see which method leads to a thicker scar and fewer problems like bleeding, pain, or future pregnancy risks. About 100 women having a C-section will take part, and their scars will be checked with an ultrasound 6 months later.
