New artificial disc matches fusion for neck pain relief

Summary
This study tested a new artificial disc (Simplify® Disc) for people with two damaged discs in the neck causing arm pain, numbness, or weakness. It compared the disc to standard fusion surgery in 182 adults. The goal was to see if the artificial disc is as safe and effective at reducing pain and disability over two years.
