Could a smart patch replace invasive heart monitoring?
NCT ID NCT05629533
First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tested a wearable sensor called SimpleSense in 13 adults undergoing right heart catheterization, a procedure where a tube is inserted into the heart to measure pressure and blood flow. The goal was to see if the wearable could accurately estimate heart function without the need for invasive tools. The study was stopped early, so results are limited.
