Free gym benefit goes unused: study tests simple calls to get seniors moving
NCT ID NCT06782347
Summary
This study is testing if a simple program of mailed information and a couple of phone calls can help seniors with arthritis start using a free gym membership they already have through their insurance. Researchers want to see if using this benefit, called SilverSneakers, leads to better movement, less pain, and fewer doctor visits over two years. The study will include about 1,450 older adults across the U.S. who have arthritis but haven't used their SilverSneakers benefit before.
