First seen Mar 12, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests whether sildenafil (the drug in Viagra) can help people with severe lung high blood pressure caused by rheumatic heart valve disease. Researchers will give 100 adults either sildenafil or a placebo for six weeks to see if it improves their walking distance and heart function. The goal is to find a better way to manage this serious condition before patients need surgery.
