First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests a stem cell transplant for children with sickle cell disease who have a family donor with a different blood type. The goal is to see if a milder conditioning regimen can safely allow the transplant to work. Up to 12 children will take part. If successful, this could expand transplant options for many more patients.
