First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looked at how problems with small and large blood vessels relate to the severity of sickle cell disease in adults. Researchers measured blood flow and stiffness in the vessels of 49 participants. They also checked blood and oxidative stress markers. The goal was to better understand the disease, not to test a new treatment.
