Summary

This study aims to better understand how sickle cell disease develops and causes complications like pain crises over a person's lifetime. Researchers will observe and collect health information from 3,500 participants over time, but will not test any new treatments. The goal is to gather detailed knowledge about the disease's natural course to help guide future research and care.
