Summary
This study aimed to understand how the COVID-19 pandemic affected the lives of adults with sickle cell disease (SCD) in the United States. Researchers surveyed 186 participants online to learn about changes in their stress, anxiety, pain, sleep, and use of healthcare services during the pandemic. The goal was to gather knowledge to help support this community during future public health crises.
