Summary

This study looks at 200 people with ongoing stomach discomfort (functional dyspepsia) to find out how often they have small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO). Researchers will compare two methods—growing bacteria in a lab and DNA testing—to identify which germs are present. The goal is to better understand SIBO and improve diagnosis, not to test a new treatment.
