New injection approach could simplify shoulder pain treatment
NCT ID NCT07347054
Summary
This study is testing whether a simpler injection method into muscle trigger points works as well as a more complex injection directly into the shoulder joint for relieving osteoarthritis pain. Over 1,000 adults with chronic shoulder pain will receive one of these two injection types and be followed for two years to compare pain relief and function. The goal is to find a safe, easier-to-administer treatment option for people who haven't gotten enough relief from standard medications.
