First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looked at how shoulder pain impacts joint position sense, balance, touch sensitivity, and muscle strength in people who have had a stroke and have weakness on one side (hemiplegia). Researchers measured these factors in 78 participants who were at least 3 months post-stroke. The goal was to better understand the effects of shoulder pain to help improve future treatments.
