Could 5 days of radiation replace 25 for sarcoma patients?

NCT ID NCT07615049

First seen Jun 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study compares a 5-day ultra-short radiation course (UHRT-5) to the standard 25-day course (RT-25) for people with soft tissue sarcoma that can be surgically removed. The goal is to see if the shorter treatment works just as well to prevent the tumor from coming back, while possibly causing fewer side effects and improving quality of life. About 296 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two radiation schedules before surgery.
