Sarcoma patients may get radiation in just 5 days instead of 25
NCT ID NCT07615049
First seen Jun 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study compares a short, intense 5-day radiation treatment (UHRT-5) to the standard 25-day course (RT-25) for people with soft tissue sarcoma that can be surgically removed. The goal is to see if the shorter course works just as well at preventing the tumor from coming back, while being more convenient and possibly causing fewer side effects. About 296 adults with stage II-IIIB sarcoma of the arm or leg will take part.
