First seen Mar 04, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study compares a 5-day antibiotic treatment to the usual 7-14 day course for children aged 3 months to 18 years hospitalized with uncomplicated pneumonia. The goal is to see if the shorter treatment is just as effective and causes fewer side effects. Participants are randomly assigned to either the short or standard treatment and followed up for 14 days.
