Shockwave vs needle: which works better for knotty shoulder pain?
NCT ID NCT07397039
Summary
This study tested two treatments for chronic muscle pain in the shoulder and neck area. Researchers compared focused shockwave therapy (a non-invasive treatment) to dry needling (where a thin needle is inserted into a painful muscle knot). The goal was to see which method was better at reducing pain and improving function for people with this long-term condition.
