Shock wave combo may boost botox for stiff muscles

Summary
This study tests whether adding extra-corporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) to standard Botox injections can better reduce muscle stiffness and improve quality of life in adults with upper limb spasticity caused by stroke, brain injury, or cerebral palsy. Forty participants will be randomly assigned to receive either Botox plus ESWT or Botox plus a placebo treatment. Researchers will measure changes in stiffness, range of motion, and patient-reported outcomes over 24 weeks.
