New mRNA shingles vaccine enters human trials

Summary

This study is testing a new mRNA vaccine designed to prevent shingles (herpes zoster) in adults aged 40 and older. The trial has two parts: Part A checks safety and immune response in people 40+, and Part B picks the best dose and schedule for those 50+. Around 519 volunteers will receive either the vaccine or a placebo to see how well it works and how safe it is.
